At the beginning of each new year, I review my images made in the previous year to relive the joy I experienced in making those images, analyze the work for what I liked and what worked, and think about what I want to do more of or differently in the new year. From that review I select my top 25 favorites which are included in the portfolio below, which includes 20 nature images and five from my Riding the Rails, Seattle Architecture and Creative Types projects.

What makes a “Top 25 favorite” out of the thousands of images that I made last year? These are images that I really like and really enjoyed making. A more objective viewer might not have included some of these and perhaps would have selected others. But these are my favs! I went through my Lightroom Catalog to make an initial selection, which I then reduced to 90 images, then down to 25. The ones that made the final cut were the strongest of that initial selection and minimized repetition. It was painful to reject so many photos. But there could only be 25. Enjoy!
